Clinicians involved in planning and managing care often lack a common language and systematic assessment & treatment approach that allows for effective, individualized treatment plans. This one-day training provides an overview of The ASAM Criteria for prescribers providing Office-based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) or working with Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs), and for treatment teams working with prescribers on state of the art addiction treatment, especially as it relates to implementing the content and spirit of The ASAM Criteria (2013). The training covers the historical foundations of the Criteria, guiding principles, six dimensions, levels of service, continued stay, transfer and discharge criteria, with special attention to the Opioid Treatment Services (OTS) chapter of The ASAM Criteria (2013).
