In response to COVID-19 and the wide-ranging effects on behavioral health, we asked Jane Finch, LCSW, to present on Psychosocial Supports for Vulnerable Patients in Times of Crisis at Addiction Medicine Conference 2020. Ms. Finch referred to these popular AA/12 step adages as “undercover CBT” in her talk and discussed how positive messages can be helpful for patients in times like these.
